1 (5 oz.) can water chestnuts
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup white or brown sugar
4 slices of bacon (cut in half crosswise and lengthwise )

Directions:
Directions:
Soak water chestnuts in soy sauce for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 400º. Roll each water chestnut in sugar; wrap with 1/4 slice of bacon; secure with toothpick; place onto baking sheet.
Bake 20 minutes or until bacon is crispy. Drain on paper towels before serving.

If preparing ahead, take out of oven before crispy. Bake about 5-10 minutes when ready to serve to get crispy.
