1 1/2 c plain flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1 c unsalted butter, softened
1/2 c granulated sugar
1 c packed light brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp pure vanilla flavoring
1 1/2 c raisins
3 c old-fashioned rolled oats (not quick cooking

Directions:

Heat oven to 350º. In med bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg.
Using mixer, beat the butter and sugars on med-high speed until fluffy, 2 to 3 mins. One at a tme, beat in the eggs, then the vanilla. Reduce speed to low and gradually add flour mixture, mixing until just combined (do not overmix). Mix in oats and raisins by hand. Drop heaping tbsp of the dough onto baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart. Bake, rotating the baking sheets halfway through, until golden brown. Cool on wire racks.
