7 cups Whole Milk
1 cup light Karo
1 dozen Egg Yolks
¾ cup Cornstarch or if desire thicker pie filling, 1 cup
1 2/3 cup Sugar
1 cup Milk
6 Tbsp. Butter
1 Tbsp. Vanilla
3 to 4 baked pie shells (3 if 9 inch, 4 if 8 inch shells)
TOPPING:
1 Pint Cream
1/3 cup powdered sugar
½ tsp. Vanilla or almond flavoring.
COCONUT CREAM PIE:
1 cup coconut
BANANA CREAM PIE:
3 bananas

Heat 7 cups milk and Karo syrup to boiling point in a large, heavy saucepan. Mix cornstarch and sugar together in a medium bowl. Add egg yolks and 1 cup milk and mix well. Pour cornstarch mixture slowly into hot milk mixture while stirring well with a wire whisk. Remove from heat when it comes to a full boil. Stir in butter and vanilla. Cover pudding and refrigerate to cool. Layer pudding on top of coconut or sliced bananas, two or three layers alternating fruit and pudding. Top with whipped cream and serve.
