8 oz elbow macaroni
4 tbsp butter
4 tbsp flour
2 c milk
1/2 tsp salt
2 c shredded cheddar cheese (mild or sharp)
1/2 c breadcrumbs
black ground pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare pasta as directed on package. Preheat oven to 400º. Spray baking dish with non-stick spray.
Melt butter in a large saucepan. Add flour mixed with salt and pepper, using a whisk to stir until well blended. Pour milk in gradually, stirring constantly.
Bring to a boiling point and boil for 2 mins (stirring constantly) Reduce heat and cook for 10 mins (stirring constantly). Gradually add shredded cheddar cheese and simmer another 5 mins until cheese melts. stirring occasionally. Take off heat, add macaroni and toss until mixed. Pour into well buttered baking dish. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs.
Bake for 20 mins. or until golden brown.
