6 c. regular rolled oats (not quick) (1800 cal)
1 c. sliced almonds (680 cal)
1 c. nonfat powdered milk (240 cal)
1 c. whole wheat flour (400 cal)
1 c. wheat germ (480 cal)
1 c. honey (960 cal) or agave syrup (can also reduce to ¾ c., which is 720 cal)
1 c. vegetable oil (1920 cal) or ½ c. oil and ½ c. applesauce (1015 cal)

Combine first 5 ingredients and mix well. Combine honey and oil, then add to dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. Spread on 2 cookie sheets. Bake at 325 degrees for 20-30 minutes (stirring after 10). Can toast on high broil for a couple of minutes if you like it crunchy.
Makes about 14 cups.
