Cake ingredients:
2 c flour
1 1/2 c sugar
1 t nutmeg
1 t cinnamon
1 t allspice
1 t baking soda
1 t salt
1 c vegetable oil
1 c buttermilk
1 c prune baby food
1 c chopped nuts

Sauce:
1/2 c butter or margarine
1/2 c buttermilk
1 c white sugar
1/2 t baking soda
1 T karo syrup
1 t vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together all cake dry ingredients, add 3 beaten eggs to dry mixture. Add oil, buttermilk, prunes, and nuts. Pour into large bread pan and bake 45 minutes at 450 degrees.

Mix all sauce ingredients, and heat to a boil,5 minutes, where everything is evenly mixed and smooth. Pour over cake while hot. Do not beat.
