1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg, well beaten
1 t. vanilla
2 c. flour
4 t. baking powder
3/4 t. salt
cookie sugars/decorations
Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar, egg and vanilla. Add sifted dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Chill dough slightly. Roll out on floured surface to 1/8" thickness. Cut with Christmas cookie cutters. Sprinkle with colored sugars. Use red hots and silver ball cookie decorations where desired. Lift with spatula onto cookie sheets. Bakd at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
