1/2 c. milk
2 T sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter
1 envelope yeast
1/4 c. warm water
2 eggs
3 1/4 c. flour

Apple filling:
5 c. peeled, chopped apples
2 T lemon juice
1 T water
3/4 c. sugar
2 T flour
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Streusel topping:
(Double if making 2)
1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Cream cheese filling:
8 oz. cream cheese
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. lemon peel
1 tsp. vanilla

Dough (for one Streuselkuchen)
(Double if you want to make one of each kind.)
Heat milk, sugar, salt and butter until butter melts. Cool to lukewarm. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Blend in milk, eggs and 2 c. flour. Beat it. Add 1 c. flour. Sprinkle 1/4 c. of flour on board and knead it. Put dough in greased bowl to rise (1 hour) until double. Punch down. Spread dough on 14" pizza pan or 10"x15" jelly roll pan. Cover with filling, then layer of streusel. Let rise until puffy (20 min.-not necessary). Bake at 375 for 25 min. until golden. When cooled, dust with powdered sugar.

Apple Filling
In 2-qt. pan, combine apples, lemon juice and water. Boil over medium heat. Cover and simmer 8-10 min., until apples are tender. Mix sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg and stir into apples. Cook until thickened. Cool.

Cheese Filling
Beat cream cheese til fluffy. Beat in sugar, egg, lemon peel and vanilla.

Streusel
Mix flour, powdered sugar, baking powder, and cinnamon. Cut in butter until crumbly. Mix in vanilla.
