2 c chopped celery
2 cups chopped green pepper
1 can water chestnuts, sliced and cut in strips

8 strips fried bacon (crumbled)

Directions:
Directions:
Shred or dice lettuce into a 9"X13" pan.
Sprinkle over the lettuce the celery, green pepper, onion and water chestnuts. Over this mixture sprinkle the uncooked peas. Frost salad with mixture of mayo and sugar. Sprinkle this with parmesan cheese. Top with crumbled bacon. Refrigerate for 24 hours. Mix before serving or cut into squares and serve directly from pan.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Cheddar cheese can be substituted for parmesan. Celery, green pepper amounts can be adjusted according to taste. Some prefer tearing the lettuce, I like cutting, easier to serve.
