1 Large fryer or hen
1 cake of corn bread
1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 can Cream of Chicken Soup
1/2 stick butter
1 large onion, chopped fine
1 c. chopped celery
5 hard-boiled eggs, sliced thin
1/2 c. evaporated milk
2 t. sage

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450º. Boil fryer or hen with plenty of water for chicken
broth. Tear cornbread into small peices. Add both cans of soup. Add
enough broth to soak up bread but not too soupy. Add butter, chopped onion,
celery; mix well. Then add hard-boiled eggs, evaporated milk and salt
and pepper. Add sage. Tear chicken from carcass and place in well
buttered roasting pan. Pour dressing over chicken and bake until brown,
about 30 minutes.
