For Pastry:
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup lard
2/3 cup water
1 egg yolk
1 egg white

For Filling:
4 cups apples
1 cup sugar
2 Tbs butter
1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dough ingredients as for pie dough. (Beat egg yolk, add water).
Cut sough in half. Roll out the the size of a cookie sheet. Cover with finely chopped or sliced apples, and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Dot with butter. Roll out the rest of the dough and use for a to crust.Beat egg white lightly with a fork. Spread over the top crust. Sprinkle with sugar.Bake at 375º for 30 minutes.
*Drizzle thin white icing scantily over top crust after it cools.
