1-2 lb top sirloin
1 onion
3 cloves garlic;minced
6-8 mushrooms sliced
1/2c ketchup
2 T Worcester sauce
1/2 cup flour
1cup milk
1 cup sour cream
1 package pasta.....cork screw type works well.

I have made this recipe for years and my children love it. I really don't have a recipe. You may also use a can of mushroom soup if you prefer. I cut the steaks into bit size pieces, about 2" long. I cover the meat with flour, salt and pepper and brown the meat in a fry pan with oil. I add garlic and onion. You may sauté in sliced mushrooms when the meat is almost cooked. Add Worcester, ketchup and a little more flour to coat. Stir and mix the oil, drippings and flour and let cook for a few minutes. You may make it ahead and then before you serve it do the following. Add the milk and stir in at a low heat, gently stirring the mixture together to make a gravy. Adjust the milk so you have a nice sauce. Before you serve add the sour cream to the warm stroganoff and stir....do not reheat after this point. Serve over the pasta.

You may adjust this recipe for any number. Barefoot Contessa's Spinach/Pea salad with pesto goes great with this or just peas is also good.
