1 butternut squash, peeled, seeded and cut into 1/2 inch cubes
1 tart baking apple, peeled, cored and coarsely chopped
2 tbsp butter or margarine
1 tbsp honey
1 tsp grated orange zest
1 tsp finely chopped crystallized ginger
1/8 tsp ground nutmeg

In a heavy large saucepan, cover squash and apple with water. Cover and cook over medium high heat 15-20 minutes or until tender, drain. Reduce heat to medium low add remaining ingredients to squash mixture. Stirring constantly, cook squash mixture until smooth or about 10 minutes. Serve warm.
