Soup:
3-4 lbs of chicken parts
2 sweet plantains
2 sweet potatoes
3 carrots
1 sprig of thyme
2 packages of chicken soup (Grace)
1 1/2 lbs cassana
1 1/2 lb yams
1 1/2 lbs pumpkin
1 onion
2 chocho (chayote)
season to taste

Dumplings:
2 cups of flour
1 cup of water
2 Tbsp of sugar
1 tsp of salt

Soup:
In a large stock pot, combine all ingredients and cover with cold water.
Cook until vegetables are soft and chicken is cooked through.
Serve with dumplings (optional- if you choose this option, add dumplings about 30 minutes before end of cook time).

Dumplings:
Mix all ingredients together and form into long strips or round balls.
Drop into boiling soup, cook for 30 minutes.
