1# beef flank steak
2 T. vegetable oil
2 t. soy sauce (light or dark)
1 t. finely chopped gingerroot
1 t. sugar
1 t. salt
1 t. dry white wine
¼ t. white pepper
1 medium onion

Directions:
Directions:
Cut beef across grain into 1/8-inch strips. Toss beef, vegetable oil, soy sauce, gingerroot, sugar, salt, wine and white pepper in glass or plastic bowl. Cover and refrigerate 30 minutes. Cut onion into 1-inch pieces.

Thread 1 onion piece, 1 beef strip and 1 onion piece on each of thirty 6-inch skewers. Set oven control to broil and/or 550º. Broil with tops about 4 inches from heat, turning once, until done, about 6 minutes.
