Cream together:

1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs

Add and mix:

2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tarter
1 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
Directions:
Directions:
Roll into balls and then roll into cinnamon and sugar mixture. Bake at 400º for 8 - 10 minutes or until they look almost done.

Cinnamon and sugar mixture should be mixed the same as if you were going to sprinkle on toast. Put a cup of sugar in a bowl and add a little cinnamon at a time until it looks right.
