6 cups flour
2 cups sugar
2 t baking powder
1 t nutmeg
1/4 t salt
1 cup raisins
1 stick softened butter
1 t baking soda
2 cups milk

sugar for sprinkling on top

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg, salt and cut in butter with pastry blender or 2 forks. Add raisins. Stir baking soda into milk. Add to dry ingredients and stir until moist. Roll out on floured surface. Cut with round cookie cutter or even a drinking glass. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake on ungreased baking sheets at 400º for 8 minutes.
