1½ cups butter (softened)
2½ cups sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla flavoring
4 cups plain flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Sift baking powder and flour. Add to creamed mixture. Stir together. Place in bowl and chill. Knead cookie dough, roll out on floured pastry sheet and cut approximately 1/8th inch thickness.
Bake at 350 to 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden brown.
