2 cups all purpose flour
1 table spoon plus 1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
½ cup shortening
½ cup shredded sharp cheese
¾ cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Combine first 3 ingredients. Cut in shortening till mixture resembles a coarse meal. Add cheese and milk. Stir until moistened. Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface. Kneed 8 to 10 times. Roll dough ½ inch cut into biscuit. Put on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 450º for 12-14 minutes.
