Baked 9 inch pie crust
3/4 cup sugar
3 Tablespoons cornstarch
1 cup water
3 teaspoons grated lemon peel
1/4-1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
2 fresh eggs yolks

3 oz. cream cheese
2 fresh egg whites
1/4 cup sugar

Directions:
Directions:
In sauce pan combine the 3/4 cup sugar, cornstarch, water, lemon peel and juice and lightly beaten egg yolks. Beat with electric mixer until well blended. Cook on medium heat, stirring constantly until thick.Remove from heat and add cream cheese. Cool while preparing meringue. In small mixer bowl beat egg whites at high speed until foamy. Slowly add the 1/4 cup sugar continue to beat until meringue stands stiff. Fold into hot lemon mixture. Spoon into baked pie shell. Chill at least 2 hours before serving.
