2 1/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup margarine, softened
3/4 cup Sugar
1 egg
1 pkg chocolate chips
2 cups walnuts, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour & salt together on wax paper. Blend margarine, sugar, egg and vanilla. Blend in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips. Shape dough into logs (2” x 1 1/2”) using a lightly floured surface. Place cookie logs on ungreased cookie sheet and bake in a 350 degree oven for 12 to 15 minutes. Cool cookies. Dip ends of cookies into the chocolate coating and roll ends into the chopped walnuts. Place cookie logs onto a waxed paper sheet to set up.

*Chocolate Coating

Melt together 1 pkg chocolate chips, 1/4 cup margarine in a double boiler over hot water. Stir well until ingredients are blended and smooth. If mixture is too thick, add more margarine, 1 tbsp at a time until good consistency for dipping.
