1/2 of 1 lb. box Acini de Pepe (found in the pasta section of grocery store)
1 egg, beaten until foamy
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 t. salt
1 T. flour (heaping)
15 oz. can crushed pineapple
16 oz. can mandarin oranges
8 oz. Cool Whip

Directions:
Directions:
Cook the Acini de Pepe according the directions on the box. Drain. Add beaten egg. Chill.
Combine the crushed pineapple (with the juice), sugar, salt and flour and cook over low heat until thickened.
Remove from stove. After sauce has cooled, add it to the pasta. Stir well and then fold in the mandarin oranges and Cool Whip. Chill.

For a variation add coconut and/or sliced bananas.
