4 cups cake flour
3 cups sugar
1 tsp. cream of tartar
8 eggs
2 tsps. lemon flavor
3 sticks butter
1/2 cup Crisco (not oil!)
Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, sugar and Crisco. Add eggs one at a time. Add flour gradually with cream of tartar and lemon flavor.
Bake 350º for about 30 minutes and reduce to 325º for 30 minutes.
