1 c. Butter, softened
2 c. Brown Sugar, packed
2 Eggs
2 t. Vanilla
2-1/2 c. Flour
1 t. Baking Soda
1 t. Salt
3 c. Quick-Cooking Oats
12 oz. Pkg. Milk Chocolate Chips
14 oz. Can Sweetened Condensed Milk
2 T. Butter
1 c. Chopped Walnuts (optional)

blend together butter and brown sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well and set aside. Mix flour, baking soda, salt and oats together. Stir in brown sugar mixture. Pat two-thirds of oat mixture in bottom of a greased jelly-roll pan. Melt together chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk and margarine; stir in walnuts. Spread fudge filling over the oat mixture. Drop remaining one-third of oat mixture on top of the fudge layer by teaspoonfuls. Bake at 350º for 25-30 minutes; cut into bars.
