1 quart rhubarb, 1 quart onions, 1 pint vinegar, i tsp salt, 31/2 cups brown sugar, pickling spices, empty teabag, mason jars.

Chop rhubarb and onions. Mix ingredients together. Fill an empty teabag with pickling spices. Mix all ingredients in a boiler. Let soak overnight. The next morning boil the mixture slowly for 11/2 hours. Sterilize jars by a placing them in the oven on 350 for 10 minutes. Boil lids. Remove jars from oven and let cool. Fill jars, leaving a 1/2 inch space at the top. Screw on covers and let seal. You will know the jars are sealed as you will hear a popping noise. Also the lids will indent.
