1 1/2 cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups H-O quick oats
1/2 cups margarine
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup jelly or jam

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, baking powder salt, and baking soda together. Stir in oats. Cream margarine, sugar and egg. Add oat mixture, then mix in milk and vanilla. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Make indentation in top of each cookie; fill with 1/2 teaspoon jelly. Bake at 375º until lightly brown on edges, 10-12 minutes. Makes about 2 dozen.
