1/2 cup butter
2 cups shortening
1 cup sour milk. To create add 1 teaspoon soda in 1 cup milk
4 cups flour. To create add 1 teaspoon baking powder to flour
1/2 cup
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Juice and rinds of 2 oranges
1 pinch salt
1 package powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 375º to 400º depending on elevation.

In a large bowl combine sugar, butter and shortening. Add eggs when well mixed. Alternate third of a cup of flour and the quarter of a cup of milk and mix until all the dry and wet ingredients are mix well.

Drop by the teaspoon on a greased baking sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.

Create frosting using powdered sugar, orange juice, orange rinds, and 1 tablespoon of melted butter. Mix well then cover finished cookies.
