6 cups oatmeal
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
3/4 cup wheat germ
1/2 cup flaked coconut
1/4 cup sesame seeds
1 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup dry nonfat milk
1 cup bran buds
3/4 cup hone
3/4 cup vegetable oil
2 tablespoons water
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup raisins, optional

Preheat oven to 300º.

In a large bowl, combine oats, wheat germ, coconut, sesame seeds, bran buds, nuts and dry milk.

In a separate container combine oil, honey, brown sugar, water and vanilla. Heat slightly to dissolve sugar then add to oat mixture. Stir to coat well.

Turn into two large shallow pans. Bake until lightly toasted for about about 30 minutes. Stir after each 10 minute period. if you desire add raisins at this point. Store in tightly sealed containers. The granola may be frozen.
