3c. self-rising flour
3t. baking powder
2t. confectioner sugar
1/2c. Crisco
1-1/2c. buttermilk
butter

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients. Cut in shortening. stir in buttermilk. Knead a few times. Roll out on a floured board or countertop. Cut with biscuit cutter or drinking glass and bake in a preheated oven450º for 12 minutes Brush with butter.

Seems as though I made the dry ingredients together with shortening and stored in refrigerator and took out some mix and added some buttermilk to make a soft dough. Rolled it out and bake as above.
