3 large pieces fresh broccoli
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 1/2 cups water
1 Tbsp instant chicken bouillon
2 cups half and half
1/4 tsp curry powder
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
In a large saucepan, place broccoli, onion, water, and chicken bouillon. Bring to a boil; simmer until broccoli is tender, but still bright green. Puree in a blender in 2 batches for 30 seconds. Return to saucepan. When ready to serve, add cream, curry powder, salt, and pepper. Heat through, but do not boil.

You may substitute cauliflower for the broccoli. We like big chunks of broccoli, so we don't puree it. On occasion, we leave out the curry powder.
