3/4 c sugar
1/2 c butter
2 T water
2 c semisweet choc. chips, divided
1 1/2 t vanilla
1 1/4 c flour
1/2 t baking soda
1/2 t salt
2 eggs
powdered sugar for garnish

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Grease 9" square baking pan. Combine sugar, butter & water in med. microwave bowl. Micro on high 2 1/2 to 3 minutes or until butter is melted. Stir in 1 c. choc chips; stir gently until chips are melted & mixture is well blended. Stir in vanilla; let stand 5 min. to cool. Combine flour, baking soda & salt in small bowl. Beat eggs into choc. mixture, one at a time. Add flour mixture; mix well. Stir in remaining 1 c. choc chips. Spread batter evenly into prepared pan. Bake 25 min. for fudgy brownies or 30-35 min. for cakelike brownies. Remove pan to wire rack to cool completely. Cut into squares. Sprinkle w/powd. sugar.
