1-1/3 c. Flour
1 t. Baking Powder
1/2 t. Salt
1 c. Butter
1 c. Cocoa
4 Eggs, beaten
2 c. Sugar
1-1/2 t. Vanilla Extract
1 t. Almond Extract
1 c. Maraschino Cherries, chopped
1/2 c. Nuts, chopped
Icing:
1/4 c. Butter, softened
1 t. Vanilla Extract
2 c. Confectioners' Sugar
6 T. Cocoa
1/4 c. Milk
1/4 c. Nuts, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside. In a large saucepan, melt butter. Remove from the heat and stir in cocoa until smooth. Blend in eggs, sugar and extracts. Stir in flour mixture, cherries and nuts. Pour into a greased 13 x 9 inch pan. bake at 350 º for 30 minutes until brownies test done. For icing, blend butter, vanilla, sugar, cocoa and milk until smooth; spread over hot brownies. Sprinkle with nuts. Cool.
