1 oz butter
1 cup milk
½ oz yeast
2 tsp sugar
¾ teaspoon coarse salt
400 g plain flour (about 7 cups) or 200 g plain- and 200 g whole wheat flour
6 sausages of good quality

Directions:
Directions:
Melt the butter in a saucepan and add milk.
Pour mixture into a bowl and stir in the yeast.
Add the remaining ingredients (holding back a little plain flour)
Turn the dough well together.
Cover the bowl with a cloth and place the dough to rise in a warm place for approx 1 hour.
Place the dough onto a floured surface and knead it well. Add the rest of the flour, as needed.
Divide the dough into 6 pieces and roll each piece out into a long sausage.
Wrap the dough on the sausage (if the sausages are too thick part it in the middle).
Place the sausage horns on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Cover the sausage horns and let them raise approx 15 min.
Brush the sausage horns with water and sprinkle with sesame seeds (optional!)
Bake in the center of oven - until golden!

Baking time: Approx 20 min at 390 ºF
