1 cup flour
3/4 cup corn meal
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup milk
1 egg
pinch sugar
Dash salt
(alternately use buttermilk but if you do subst b soda instead of salt)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425º.
Mix together ingredients, just til mixed. May be lumpy.
Take iron skillet and put on the burner, high heat and 2 T bacon grease. Swirl around till very hot. Pour mixture in and stick in the oven for 15 minutes. Turn over on plate when done.
