STARTER
29 oz. can sliced peaches
2 1/2 c. sugar
29 oz. can chunk pineapple
2 1/2 c. sugar
20 oz. maraschino cherries

CAKE
1 box yellow cake mix
4 eggs
1 small box vanilla instant pudding
2/3 c. wesson oil
1 c. nuts

ICING
1 - (8 oz) pkg. cream cheese
1 lb. box powdered sugar
1 c. nuts
1 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
1. Do not refrigerate starter
2. Starter needs to ferment
3. Pour starter into gallon container with lid (leave lid loose)

STARTER
In gallon jar, add peaches and 2 1/2 c. sugar - stir & let stand for 10 days, stirring once a day.

At end of 10 days, add; pineapple with 2 1/2 c. sugar - stir and let stand for 10 days, stirring once a day.

at end of 10 days, add; cherries and no sugar. let stand for 10 days. DO NOT STIR. Now you are ready to make/bake your cake.

Drain juice from fruit and use for starters for friends. (Will be enough for 3 friends).

CAKE
Mix all cake ingredients and 1 1/2 c. fruit mix. Bake in tube or bundt pan at 300º for 50 - 60 minutes.

ICING
Mix all icing ingredients together and spread over cake.
