1 1/4 cups firmly packed light brown sugar
3/4 cup butter flavor Crisco
2 Tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
1 tsp maple extract
1 3/4 cup flour
1 tsp salt
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375. Put brown sugar, Crisco, maple syrup, vanilla and maple extract in large bowl. Beat at medium speed until well blended. Add egg and beat well. Combine flour, salt, baking soda, and cinnamon. Add to shortening mixture; beat at low speed until blended. Stir in chopped walnuts. drop dough onto cookie sheets. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
