2 c. sugar
2 sticks margarine
1/2 c. corn syrup
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon oil
1 tsp. red food coloring
1 tsp. baking soda
8 qts popcorn, popped

Directions:
Directions:
Heat sugar, margarine, corn syrup and salt to boiling in a 2 quart microwave bowl. Boil 1 1/2 minutes. Stir. Boil 2 1/2 minutes more. Remove and add cinnamon oil, red food coloring and baking soda. Stir for 2-3 minutes. Pour over 8 qts of popcorn in a large brown bag. Stand away from sack as you pour the syrup. Stir well with spatula. Roll up bag and microwave 1 1/2 minutes. Shake. Microwave once more so all popcorn is coated.

In our last cookbook I put in a cinnamon popcorn recipe that calls for red hots. Sometimes those are hard to find, so I found this recipe and think it could be a nice alternative if you can't find the candies.
