1 c. butter

Directions:
Scald milk (put in saucepan and heat but do not bring to boil).) Stir in sugar, salt, and butter. Cool to lukewarm. Measure warm water into large warm bowl. Sprinkle with yeast. Stir until dissolved. Stir in luke warm milk mixture. Add beaten eggs and 1 c. flour. Beat until smooth. Add enough additional flour to make a soft dough. Turn onto a lightly floured board. Knead until smooth and elastic, about 8 min. Place in greased bowl, turning greased side up. Cover and let rise in warm place, free from a draft, until doubled in bulk- about 30 min. Turn dough onto lightly floured board again. Divide dough in half and roll each section into an 18x9 rectangle. Brush with butter. Blend sugar and pecans and sprinkle over dough. Roll up from long end as for jelly roll. Cut into 1 inch slices. Roll and flatten each piece of dough into a 4 inch circle. Dust board with remaining sugar and pecan mixture after each roll. Put parchment paper on largest cookie sheet you have. Place circles of dough onto parchment paper and cover and let rise for 20 min. Bake at 375º for 10 min.
