1 pint shucked oysters
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups milk
1 cup light cream
dash of hot sauce
Paprika
butter--optional

Directions:
Directions:
Put oysters and liquid in a sauce pan. Stir in salt. Cook over medium heat for five minutes. Stir in milk, cream and hot sauce. Heat through. Sprinkle each serving with paprika and a pat of butter.

This oyster stew sustained Fran and Jake Donlon during the snowstorm of 2001 in Cambridge MD. They ate so much of it that Jake will not eat any more. But you will love it.
