Ingredients:  
1/2 lb. vanilla wafers, 1 c. confectioners sugar, 2 tbsp. cocoa, 1 cup finely chopped pecans or walnuts, 1/2 c. light corn syrup, 1/4 c. rum or brandy.

Directions:
Directions:
Roll wafers into very fine crumbs. Mix with confectioners sugar and cocoa. Add chopped nuts, corn syrup and liquor. Stir until well blended and stiff. Shape into 1 in. balls. Let stand 1 hour. Roll in confectioners' sugar and stick a nut on top of each. Store in a tightly covered container. Make at least a week ahead of using. Can be stored indefinitely in the refrigerator. You can roll in chopped nuts or regular sugar instead of confectioners sugar.
