1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 3/4 cups sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup cocoa
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp cloves
3/4 cup chopped pecans, divided
2 cups finely chopped unpeeled zucchini
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

Cream margarine with oil and sugar. Slowly beat in eggs, vanilla and buttermilk.

In separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa, soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and cloves. Stir flour mixture into creamed mixture. Add 1/4 cup pecans and zucchini.

Pour batter into lightly greased and floured 13x9-inch pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips and remaining 1/2 cup chopped nuts on top. Bake at 325º F for 40 to 50 minutes or until cake tests done.
