zest 1 orange
1 cup butter
3 cups flour
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup sugar

Glaze: 3 T orange juice (prefer Valencia orange) + about 1 cup powdered sugar

Directions:
Preheat oven 340 convection bake.
Blend sugar and butter in mixer, add egg, vanilla and zest. Add flour. Remove from mixer and knead a few times til smooth consistency. Divide into 3 parts. Roll out fairly thin about 1/4 inch. Cut out with cookie cutters. Stamp with decorative stamp, like a heart or flower shape. Bake 10 minutes. Edges should be slightly browned. Cool. Glaze. The glaze should be like frosting consistency. Smooth on cookies and it should be just liquid enough to pool up in stamped areas. Dry overnight. Store in covered container.
