1/2 c. each, chopped green and red bell pepper
1 can V8 juice (I prefer low sodium) plus 1 can of water in the V8 can

1 - 15 oz. can of diced tomato with juice (use crushed for non tomato lovers)
1 sm. can tomato paste
1 Williams Meatloaf Season packet
1 tsp. Lawry's season salt
1 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder
2 tbsp. ketchup
1 tbsp. yellow mustard
1/2 tbsp. brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Brown ground beef in skillet, add season salt, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and brown sugar just before hamburger is brown. Finish browning hamburger. With a slotted spoon, remove beef and add to a large stock pot or slow cooker. In the same skillet, saute onion and bell peppers in about 1 tsp. of beef grease until soft. Add to pot or slow cooker along with the remaining ingredients. Simmer on medium heat for 30-45 min on stove top OR simmer in slow cooker as long as needed on low/med setting.
