Bread
1 pkg. dry yeast
1 1/2 cups flour
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. shortening
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. chili powder
2 eggs
2/3 cup hot milk

Burger
1-lb. browned hamburger (browned with 1/2 cup chopped onion and drained)
1 can tomato sauce
1 15-oz. can drained kidney beans
1 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:

Beat all bread ingredients at medium speed for 3 minutes. Set aside.

Combine all burger ingredients and mix well. Simmer over low heat for 15 minutes. Pour into greased round casserole dish. Top with bread batter. Drizzle with melted butter and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Cover and let rise 30 minutes. Uncover, bake at 350º for 25-30 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes.

Turn out onto serving plate, sprinkle with 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese. Serve hot.
