1/2 Cup Butter
2 Cups Light Brown Sugar
2 Eggs
3-1/4 Cups Flour
1/2 Tsp. Cream of Tarter
1/2 Tbsp. Soda
1 Tsp. Vanilla
1 Cup Nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Beat eggs and add to mixture. Then add flour with cream of tarter and soda sifted in it. Add vanilla, nuts and coconut if desired. Make into long rolls. Place in refrigerator overnight. Slice in 1/4 inch slices and bake on greased cookie sheet. Set oven at 350 degrees and bake until done.

I got this recipe from Maw-Maw when I was in high school. She would make these and send them to Ruidoso with us or make these or something else when we would have a garage sale. Anything to spoil her kids and grandkids.
