1 lb. ground beef, lamb, beef, etc.
1 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 clove garlic
1 med onion, chopped
2 Tbsp flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 cup beef broth (best if made from beef paste)
1 Tbsp tomato paste
1 cup frozen peas or other vegetables

Mashed potatoes
8 Tbsp. grated cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
You can make the mashed potatoes fresh or use leftovers from a meal made the night before.
Brown meat with garlic and onions. Add salt, pepper and flour. Cook 3-4 minutes over medium heat stirring often. Add tomato paste and beef broth and cook until thick and creamy. Add peas. Taste and season as needed. Place in a13x9 pan or a casserole dish and top with mashed potatoes and cheese. Bake 20 minutes or until golden brown.
