1 pound box macaroni noodles
3 cups cottage cheese
1/2 cup butter cubed
1/2 cup flour
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
3 cups half-n-half
1 cup milk
4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
salt and pepper

Topping: 1 cup bread crumbs mixed with 1/4 cup melted butter

Directions:
Cook macaroni according to box directions. In large saucepan melt butter. Stir in flour, garlic salt, salt and pepper. Gradually add cream and milk. Bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 2 minutes until thick. Drain mac and put in large bowl. Add cheese, cottage cheese and white sauce. Toss to coat. Transfer to a greased 9x13 baking dish. Combine bread crumbs and butter. Sprinkle on top. Bake uncovered @ 400º for 20-25 minutes.
