Small package (about 2 cups) of dried Pinto beans
2 slices bacon (or ham bone)
1 1/2 tsp salt
3 tsp sugar
2 tbsp oil

Directions:
Directions:
Spread out the beans and pick out the rocks. Then wash them. Cover them with cold water. Then add some vinegar and soda. Let them boil good. Then drain & wash the beans. Cover with boiling water now and add the seasonings. Cover and cook on low heat until done. When you need to add water, add boiling water. If the juice is not thick enough, then uncover and turn heat up to let them boil.
