1 package sausage (preferably hot flavor)
½ C flour (approximately)
4-5 C milk
Salt & pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Patty sausage and fry in pan (preferably cast iron). When sausage is done remove from pan and add a little bit more oil (or shortening or drippings) to pan keeping grease hot. Add flour to oil and stir continuously until very brown and smooth. Bring temperature down to medium. Slowly stir in milk. Continue to stir while bringing to a boil. Add salt and pepper to taste. Sometimes need to add more milk depending on desired thickness.
