1/4 c. margarine or butter
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. flour
3/4 tsp sage
1/4 tsp salt
dash pepper
1 1/2 c. milk
4 c cubed cooked chicken
8 oz (2 c.) cheddar cheese
10 oz pkg spinach, defrosted and drained
1 pkg crescent rolls

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onion in margarine. Add seasoning. Gradually add milk stirring constantly until smoothly thickened. Remove from heat. Add cheese, chicken, and spinach. Mix well. Pour into 9x13 pan.
Separate cresent rolls into 4 rectangles. Place 2 next each other to form long rectangle and cut lengthwise into 4 long strips. Place other 2 sections next to each other to form square and cut into 6 shorter strips. Use strips to lattice top of casserole.
Bake 35 minutes in 350º oven. To serve, cut into squares.

Can freeze chicken/cheese mixture in freezer bag ahead of time. Defrost,spread in pan and add crescent rolls.
